Stitching with Pride is a relaxed, welcoming craft group for LGBTQ+ fiber artists of all ages and skill levels. Whether you knit, crochet, or are just curious to learn, the group offers a low-pressure space to work on projects, share ideas, and connect with others who enjoy creating with their hands.
Members gather to stitch, listen to calming music, and talk about everything from patterns and techniques to everyday life and community happenings. Conversation flows easily, help is always available for tricky projects, and newcomers are encouraged to jump in at whatever pace feels comfortable.
At its heart, Stitching with Pride is about connection. The group creates a supportive, uplifting environment where creativity and community go hand in hand. Many members value the chance to unwind, be themselves, and spend time with others while making something tangible together. And yes, snacks are part of the tradition.
Stitching with Pride meets on the first Thursday of each month from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at the Jim Toy Community Center. The group is open to anyone interested in joining. No registration required. You can stop by a meeting or reach out ahead of time to get connected.
